And now a few words from me:
Hi! My name is Chelsea. I’m an older gal and I love my partner Kaiser. Ours is a love story – we have been together since we were 1 and 3 years old. He checks in on me all the time to make sure that I’m staying out of trouble.
I do like to walk. I walk a little gingerly – foster Mom thinks it’s probably arthritis – but I’m always game.
Did I say I love to eat – anything! The treats here are fabulous – cucumbers, red peppers, carrots – I love them all.
I’ve now learned that I go outside and do my business that I should go to the kitchen counter for my treat. I’ve also been awarded the role of “most excellent kitchen helper” – I excel at that.
Foster mom says that I’m an independent gal but I sure run to greet her if she’s been out of the house.
We were at the vet and I nuzzled her hand all the way home so she would pet my head.
And now a few words from my foster family:
Chelsea is a sweet gal. She has a lot of energy for her age and is certainly game to bark at a squirrel and go for a walk.
Chelsea sleeps in her xpen with her hubby Kaiser. She settles down very quickly and goesto sleep for the night. She does wake up early (7 AM) and is most insistent about “out” and “brekkie”.
Both dogs came into foster care not really house-trained. Kaiser is getting it a little more quickly than Chelsea but we are getting there on a schedule.
Like Kaiser, Chelsea will bark at visitors entering the home. We are working on that. She is the more independent of the two but she will also bond quickly. She doesn’t like to be alone and always wants to be nearby.
Their ideal home would be a quiet one, with a fenced backyard for frequent bathroom breaks. They are both such sweet senior dogs that still have so much love to give.
